Confusion Poem by Jim Yerman

Confusion

Rating: 5.0

I seem to live in two worlds...a dichotomy that has me confused...
I see some children surrounded by love...while others are abused.

I see some people who seem to have more food than they can eat...
While others search for meals in dumpsters on the street.

I see some people praying to a God who helps them love and celebrate...
While others use that same God for bigotry and hate.

I see leaders telling their countries, "It is peace we're searching for..."
As they drop their bombs, arm their children...and send them off to war.

I wish I could make people come together...and resolve "WE WILL REFUSE...
TO ALLOW THIS TO KEEP HAPPENING...so I wouldn't be so confused.
