Corrosion Of Time Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Corrosion Of Time

The corrosion of time
in all its going,
a padlock of prime
now rusty old showing.
This is the way for all
in times going by,
when life must fall
after many reveals try.

Oh, can't you stay still
time for a short while,
so, I may fulfill
my dreams beguile.
And get my footsteps on
to my dream's way,
for everything is gone
into a new day.

The hours are going
with the flow of time,
and erosion showing
from past its prime.
Like flowers of autumn
that fall into darks,
as days strum
their corrosion embarks.
