Denies Poem by Bernard Eseo

Denies

Loving you once wasn't enough
For loving you less would be a dread.
You've rejected me more than once
Yet just like a lost dog,
I'd wait for my owner until I'm dead.

Yearningly, for your lust for my love,
I sing songs of sadness as I await
For your return in my arms
Blindly believing there'd be some fate

You've killed me in my mind a lot
Yet I'm reborn again too many
Lo, slowly giving up each day
Searching for motivation or any

Seasons stay seasons
And nothing may ever change
That knowing this feels too right
That you back would be strange

Be the host of my heart
As I'd weep to see you once more
For your return in my arms
Blindly believing there'd be some fate
