Down The Tragedy Of A Life-Time

Rating: 4.0

(Down this broken highway of time,
We left many faces behind.
Some were cold, some unkind,
Dissolved in the air of empty pride!)

Down the crossway of two-faced talks,
We passed our innocent, wondrous walks
Through years of pencils, rulers and chalks
Into the world of confused folks!

Down the lonesome boulevard of screams,
We painfully watched our endless dreams
Flashing through the night of mystic gleams,
Crushed on the borders of pitiless societal realms!

Down the craven bridge of cooperation,
Of surrender after separation
From the risky road of zealous passion,
Doomed to be just another add-on to the blind population!

Down the short, incessant fits of desires,
We crossed the phases of creative hours,
Battled our souls through scorns and satires
Into the stage of shoddy admires!

Down the poor but honest country lane,
We tried to hold that pretty sunshine
And that modest rain
In our hands, but in vain;
Alas, they were not for us to claim!

Down this heartless highway of fame
For ruining hours, we have only ourselves to blame
For crooked visions and troublesome games
Used up now as we are, left with just money and shame!
