Dunes

Ah, what is life!
Made of nothing finer than
Miniscule particles
Residing in the dunes
Tossed upon
With the ebb and flow
Of the tides
Till all the sands
Are laid bare and wide
On beaches made of
Timeless ocean tides
Grains of sand we are
Having existences brief
Yet from waves unpredictable
Of joy and grief
Made large dunes
In hopes to fight the mighty wind
Alas! Engulfed is every hope
As on our path hovering around
Are fiends
And swiftly and softly
Grains succumbing to the wind
An excellent poem reflecting the universal truth of life. The body shall one day crumble with the wind of time and nothing shall remain. 10/10
As sand dunes succumb to the might of winds, our earthly existence is shattered by antagonistic forces! For this highly philosophical poem, written in style, I give you top marks!
