Forever Waiting On Your Acceptance Poem by Rachel Henley

Forever Waiting On Your Acceptance

Dear mom.

You may have no pride in what I do,
but I hope you feel something,
for me doing what I choose,
I did not accept the fate I was given,
I am not in the life I was supposed to be living,
and I hope my passion to be who I am,
is an incentive to your forgiveness.
I do not understand why you feel what you feel,
but I hope you know that who I am now,
is well, real.

Forever waiting on your acceptance
and in time, love.
