Forty Quatrains On Battlefield [27- 30] Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Forty Quatrains On Battlefield [27- 30]

27.Chozhan Chenganan, the owner of the water-abundant basin of Kaveri decimated his foes in the battle. The furious elephants whooshed
through the reddened, bloodied sludge and the pits caused were filled with slime of blood seeming as big water-stored pots with red flowers.

28.Chozhan Chenganan, who owned water-profuse Kaveri basin ruined
the foes in the battle. The haughty warriors who didn't turn their back, bore the swords and shields and forced on. The foxes were carrying the severed hands of the soldiers dead. This spectacle was like the people far off were looking through the mirror.

29.In the war fought by the angry Chenganan, like a bevy of peacocks
scared, speed up in the dark grove facing the onslaught of a blowing gale, the women who lost their husbands would bewail
and run in the battlefield.

30.Chozhan Chenganan, who had the might of a lion
and red fiery eyes slew the foes in the battlefield.
In the flood of blood flowing, the elephants were carried away
like the boulders rolled down on the slopes of the hills....
