Great Sacrifice For A True Love Poem by Bireswar Halder

Great Sacrifice For A True Love

I am very alone, very alone today like I am in a desert
I am very thirsty, no way of quince, what a peculiar life I live
Why this loneliness, I fail to understand - it's very mysterious
My heart is like concrete stone frozen with grief and endless pain.

You are also alone like me - both of us like darken nights as usual
Because our pains, tears and melancholy - nobody can see, realize and feel
Keeping aside all pains, I am to evince how happy I am with the public
I always search my reality only in deep nights near you.

Look! You are very much close to me, sitting beside you
But you are far away, far away from me, my dear; what a tragedy
Every night I come to you for a relief keeping my head on your chest
Alas! I find no heartbeats, no breathing sound, no shyness.

My dear, how do I sleep so peacefully and silently without you
As I know you can't stay or sleep alone because of fear of dark
So I also lie beside you to accompany you for a little bit whispering
Don't worry, before dawn I will leave you for my busy schedule.

Oh my dear, a small free land is for me beside your cemetery
Let me play out my worldly role and will live together permanently
Till then forgive those who stand as hurdles between our two hearts
They are cruel and don't know the real meaning of true love.
