Hello Sunshine.....

Hello Sunshine, I Know The World Awaits Me.
Its Rays Beam On Me, I Feel Alive Now.
Its Tall Grass Envelops The Bottom Of My Feet, The Coolness Incites My Senses.
Its Air Breezes By My Face, I Inhale And It Quiets My Soul.
The Pain Is Not Worth The Sorrow; I'm Glad To Be Alive.
It Awaits Me; I Must Heed Its Call.

    Explanation of 'Hello Sunshine':
    I envisioned myself standing in a doorway with tear-stained face looking outside. I walked outside onto a grassy hill and my senses came alive. The beauty of the earth, the feelings of the air and grass, and the sun shining on me; all the while those things brightened my spirits and encouraged me to live another day.

Poem of the Day

poet Helen Hunt Jackson

The month of carnival of all the year,
When Nature lets the wild earth go its way,
And spend whole seasons on a single day.
The spring-time holds her white and purple dear;
