How Close Is Too Close? Poem by Shadowed Past

How Close Is Too Close?

Close enough to walk away,
But never actually wanting too?
I’m in this situation almost every day
But I can’t picture my life with out you.

You’re the air I breath, the tales I dream.
Telling you I love you, something I cannot resist.
We’re connected at the waist, or so it may seem,
Surely without you, I could not exist.

A million lifetimes could pass me by,
However, my favorite would always be this one.
The thought of another nearly makes me cry,
‘Cause if it weren’t you, I would love none.

Some people say we’re too attached,
But I can’t help how much I love you.
Perhaps they’re jealous they’re not as perfectly matched
But until they are, they can’t tell us what to do.
