Why do I do this to my body?
This mutilation
This tendency to not react
To the pain I cause myself

Why do I do this to my heart?
Letting not just me,
But loved ones down
Feeling the pain of defeat

Why do I do this to my mind?
Creating blocks of negativity
And plans to fail
Almost giving up hope

Why do I do this to him?
That’s what I really want to know
He who cares the most
Who deserves my success
