I am An African

I was born where the sun rises from the hills and never set until it goes down the coast, with a mixing beams of gold in orange

I rise where sunshine glorifies the sky and night moon floats with stars drifting clouds through the sky

I am an African! ! ! My sun rises from the hill, my moon floats with the stars and my clouds swim through the sky.

I live in a world endowed with the beauty of nature

Deep down my land, my plate stands so strong

Up up the sky, i see sun smiling on my land

Trees dance to the song of the wind and rains drop on plants to grow

Water fall down cliffs and rivers sing while they rush

In my land are silver and gold, beneath my soil are diamond and oil

My land is blessed, not with weapon of war, but with the peace of nature

I am an African! ! ! my world is lovely and unique, the sun is smiling on my land, my land is blessed from above.

I bloom where skin goes black and black turns gold

My eyes are like eclipse of the sun and of the moon

At noon, my sky rhymes with the sea

At night, my skin rhymes with the sky

When i shout, my voice travels beyond the sea

When i sing, greenly leaves dance to my song

And when i cry, my tears form a stream

Even if skin bleaches, mine never fade

Even if sun hurts, my skin is an armour... because am black and i rise from Africa

I am an African! ! ! My sky is blue as the sea, my skin is dark as the sky and my colour rhymes with the soil.

I was raised in art and culture

I grow where morals are treasures and respect is gold

life is my teacher and lessons are from nature

My strength is in steel and my braveness is from lion

My eyes are sharp as eagle and my beauty is so natural

My heart is mixed with stone and gold, even if i look so wild, i am gentle as a lamb

My heart is strong as steel but melts while falling in love

I am an African! ! ! I grow in culture and art, i learn from nature and life, and my soul is blessed by the creator.

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

When the hours of Day are numbered,
And the voices of the Night
Wake the better soul, that slumbered,
To a holy, calm delight;

Ere the evening lamps are lighted,
