My smiles are buds,
my laughter are flowers,
my hairs are silk,
my eyes are stars,
my cheeks are aurora,
my teeth are diamonds
my lips rose petals,
neck, a bottle of wine,
my face is a moon.
Do you know who I am?
I'm beloved of a poet!
My complexion is fair,
my skin is butter,
my sweat aromatic,
in my round soft arms,
I have so many charms,
my body has waves,
my thighs are knaves,
my leg is smooth,
my feet are small,
Do you know who I am?
I'm beloved of a poet!
But above all,
I have a heart,
it has love inside,
not only for humans,
for animals as well,
and when my poet,
a perfect human,
becomes animal,
I, too, become a beast,
I cut him into pieces,
don't leave any piece,
I take all of him,
and when he is dead in my arms,
and in my unkind thighs,
I stitch his pieces,
and kiss the joints,
he is alive once again,
Do you know who I am?
I'm beloved of a poet!
You are darling of Ghazal, Sweetheart of Nazm and beloved of poetry..............Superb poem. Loved it 10+++
Perfectly envisioned. A poet's beloved is immortalized with superlatives and rhyme
Awesome and a real beauty. The imagery brings our the charm of the poet's muse that is the primary source of his inspiration which also provides a sensuous treat to the reader. Thanks. It is now added to the list of my favourite poems.
Verily, a poet who keeps his poetic aspirations alive and nurtures it well
Lovely write! Though the poem is all hyperbole, there is a special charm to it! Enjoyed reading it, Akhtarji!
Wonderful imagery. A metaphorical composition so attractively penned. A poet's beloved has the superlative power and abilities. A best poem Akhtar sir, I like it very much. .....10
