If I Were A Child Poem by Bireswar Halder

If I Were A Child

The glowing sun is about to set,
Dispersing its light from the sky,
Into the wavy lake by mild breeze,
And surrounded by oak and pine trees.

Crowning on its peak with glacier,
Distant mountain looks like an emperor
The trees and fields covered with snow,
What a beautiful gift nature bestows!

With boundless joy on their faces,
A group of kids wearing unique dresses,
Playing with snowballs throwing at each other
Some are dancing while others busting into laughter.

Starting at the pleasure with a pure smile,
On the faces of the heavenly angels
I think they have come to this world,
`Be Happy` to spread the message of Lord.

Forgetting my existence for a moment,
Thinking to be in the midst of heaven,
Where no cruelty and violence remain
If I were a child to this world again.
