I Need A Peaceful Sleep Poem by Bireswar Halder

I Need A Peaceful Sleep

Rating: 5.0

I am tired, too much tired, my dear
Let me emerge into a deep sleep in silence
And fly to my new dreamland for peace
Please don't disturb me any more.

I am tired, too much tired, my dear
A long marathon with rough and tough terrain
No question of little bit rest during this long journey
I miss my youth being a money making machine for you all.

I am tired, too much tired, my dear
A huge amount earned taunts and laughs at me
A heap of wealth ridiculously stares at my foolishness
As I fail to enjoy anything like a bull in life.

I am tired, too much tired, my dear.
I sacrifice my whole life running after only illusions
A beautiful mansion with modern luxuries
seems meaningless
Let me have a peaceful last night in a small hut.

I am tired, too much tired, my dear
Today I am alone, free from worldly pleasures
As it fails to give me an eternal peace
I need nothing more, let me have a peaceful sleep.
