It's Just One Day, Christmas Poem by Jenny Barton

It's Just One Day, Christmas

They say it's a special time of year, but so sad and blue for everyday people too.
People just rush by, stressed, indifferent too,
The commercial rat race Making us buy.... or face the disgrace! !
How I wish for The old days where simple things matter, like just being there, a friend or two who care.
The pleasure of a smile or song, being with people, laughing out loud happy to belong.
Such misery in the world it's true, so many sad I hope the day sees you through.
Don't despair or give up the game,
It's not just you, many are the same.
Turn the corner, hold your head up high it's just one day that simply passes by.
Your future can change with a blink of an eye
So smile, be happy things change its true
This could be the year that works out for you.
