Joe Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Joe

Handsome, talented, on stage playing guitar, making it
sing intensely while he, himself sings melodies, making
them touch our hearts and souls in moments of sorrow.

Tears at times flow, reminding us of what we've been
through in our lives, Joe picking and strumming his guitar,
bringing it alive.

Playing people's hearts, minds and souls, bringing feelings
and emotions into play, not many musicians can relate to
people's beings deep within.

Joe, a firefighter, playing his guitar, taking people who've
been blinded by life, set in a sorrow of many dimensions,
hiding in shadows alone.

Hearing Joe playing from his very heart, touching feelings
and sensations, tears falling from their hearts, while at
the same time finding their hearts have magically lessened.

Heartache having been coaxed out into the open and suddenly
their sadness begins to dissipate for Joe has an interior
gift of compassion, kindness and caring altogether.
