Just Another Day Poem by Sheena Blackhall

Just Another Day

If I chucked the bucket hat for a fascinator,
Would the sun splat out like a cadmium yellow bomb?

If I shaved my head to the bone like a Buddhist nun
Would I levitate like a drone overLondon's Shard?

If I confess to the office I go commando,
Would I smash through the sexist ceiling of promotion?

If I climbed the fence and plunged into the river
Would they sponge my death off Facebook, or News on Ten?

IfI ampainted out of this wilting, chilly day
Will a skyscraper on the horizon tilt ever so slightly?

Did nobody see the stalker walking behind me?
Did nobody guess I'm a ghost- a photo-shock?
