Keep Living 6 Poem by Jahan Zeb

Keep Living 6

The lad saw things, left not long ago
Got suspicious as scattered things revealed so
Trembling with fear, a way to escape
Searched running around in the dark trap
Found neither a way to escape, nor any exit
On a bare round rock, he had to sit
Wept he and shed tears like rain in December
That he used to watch, sitting in his chamber
Wrapped face in hands lost in thoughts deep
Remembered his queen that alone had to sleep
He missed her touch and missed her rosy smile
The hug in moonlight and love every while
The lad pumped up, stopped the falling tears
Away he threw, from mind, all the fears
Ventured into the longest cave corner
A new aim in heart, felt courageous honor
Reaching to his queen before it was dark
Was his sole aim and his winning mark
With a pleading look he looked at the sky
Wished, to his queen, from there he could fly
But one last time, his luck, he'd to try
His eyes sparkled, saw rays of sun
He rushed to it new journey begun
Had seen the sky he after hours
The streams, water, the trees and flowers
