Le Vent. Poem by Jacques du Lumerie

Le Vent.

You drank all the moonlight
And left us with just stars;

Now you are eating the sun.
Are you to leave us with nothing
With which to stay alive?

See, my children
Are already crying:
'Oh, the cold,
The bitter cold! '
