Life Is Beyond The Ifs
Should you have been born in a hut,
where there is hunger,
where there are hardships,
where there are not sufficient means,
to fulfill the basic needs,
but there is an old blanket,
we could share in the cold nights,
that could have constrained us,
to come so close, so close when two become one,
and serve for each other,
the purpose of a blanket,
giving us the heat of love,
and when the sun rises,
we open our eyes,
and we find silver in the hairs,
we would not have asked each other,
how to say good bye to you!
If it would be so!
But life is beyond the ifs!
Life is about being positive in whatever situation we find ourselves in, to see that love is freedom of the heart to find the truth in our lover's eyes and to never have to say 'If only'! Beautiful and thought provoking write!
We always try to imagine things.... like 'if it happened or if only'! Better learn to accept facts and try to find joy and love in whatever situation we are in! A great write Akhtarji!
