I love to muse on the fading sunlight in the sky.
Before the golden sun on the Western horizon
Turns crimson, I move to my Southern window
And stand aside, gazing at the green tree tops.
I marvel at the parrots that arrive in flocks
And merge with the green leaves of the trees.
I love to enjoy the serenity of the day's twilight.
The nature coordinates marvelously the transition.
As the birds fly back to their nests with tired wings,
They sit on the boughs together and sing a hymn,
To appreciate God's kindnesses, as if in a chorus!
Their chirping slowly stops and falls into silence.
Who knows, just like the quickly passing twilight
I too may vanish stealthily, away on the path of eternity!
Human abodes are amply lighted at the fall of night,
But the birds' nests remain quiet and dark throughout.
It's when life's murmurs are muted at the dead of night,
Is the time to know where is darkness and where is light!

The fall of dusk is beautifully portrayed! The home bound green parrots merging with the green leaves...... the image is striking!
