Like A Lost Child Poem by Khairul Ahsan

Like A Lost Child

Rating: 5.0

The One that I seek
In weal and woe,
At high or low,
Unaware often as I am though,
That He lives in me and remains,
In my bloodstreams,
In the brain and veins,
And in my dreams.

I seek Him in my heart deep,
Awake or asleep,
I seek Him day and night,
In darkness, in daylight,
Whether I'm strong or weak,
Whether I smile or weep,
Just like a child who seeks his mamma
When he gets lost and stuck in a trauma!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is my 200th poem published in PoemHunter.com. I am indebted to all the poets and readers of poemHunter, who stopped by to read my not so good poems, and to those who also kindly left a comment or a critique. Many of you messaged me too in appreciation of some of my poems. All your kind words inspired me a great deal to continue with my humble efforts at poetry writing.

Congrats, Dear Friend, on this special occasion of posting your 200th poem on PH. This again is a remarkable and is based on the poet's philosophical musings. Loved reading it. Thanks. I seek Him in my heart deep, Just as a child seeks his mamma When he gets lost for a while.

I seek Him day and night, In darkness, in daylight, Whether I'm strong or weak, Whether I smile or weep, Just like a child who seeks his mamma When he gets lost and stuck in a trauma! . This is exactly what I too do. Relying on that super power alone gives a feeling of strength and security to life.. Beautiful poem arising out of strong faith!

Dear Khairul. You are good, you write what you feel. That is the reason to write poems, and I cannot imagine to write for commercial, because it would not be the poem how I feel. I am wondering about the real meaning of this poem. It sound like you talk to God and you feel like a little child. OK, God is not the old man with the white beard up in the sky over the clouds and the angels are just flying around him. ......GOD is in your heart, you are the child of the Universe. The LAW is built into your being, that is why if we do good, good returns if we do bad, certainly that returns manyfold. Once you find the faith, that what ever is your challenge, you will find the solution, the lesson in it, then you will. We are not alone in the universe, like many thinks, the LAW is built into us. I do not follow religions, because they all think they are better then the other, even killed each other in the past, which cannot be God-like. They are just trying to find the Spirit. Anyway, congratulate for your 200 poems. Every time I put in one I printed it out and now I put together 286 poems from here and from Poet Freak and made 3 copies and I have my second book. If you tell me your E-mail address, I can send you the picture. Anyway, I am writing for myself, for my own salvation.

Congratulations on your ongoing success! This poem really resonates with me. The power of God can be so overwhelming that we forget how close to us He is, that He lives within me. This is a wonderful message and is gorgeously delivered.
