We love
Not to possess
But be possessed.
Love is
The willing suspension
Of our association
With life
That is assertive.
Love is
To lose our tears
In the ocean of indifference.
Love is
Casting away
Our assets
In the lap of some usurper.
Love is crucifixion
With no resurrection.
In love
We don't play the final:
The final is instead
Played upon us
The very moment
We are about to toss!
