Love In A Moment. Poem by Daniel Gelinas

Love In A Moment.

Rating: 5.0

Thought. His mind appears to scramble with the effort.

Touch. His palms glisten as he feels the gentle pressure of another against his own twisted lips.

Sound. The slow rustle of leaves in the distance and the blowing of a cool breeze in his ears is accompanied by the sharp intake of breath at his ear and the necessity of which it is taken. Needed, desire in the air around them.

Feel. He enjoys the shiver which erupts along his spine.

Thought. His mind wanders to the prospect of what is to come.

Sound. A breathy whisper, the chance of spontaneity, would he like to come upstairs for a few minutes?

Thought. None, his mind appears to jam with the intensity of his emotion. Strong feelings of love and passion ripple his insides and engage his mind, but disarms his mouth.

Sound. The question is repeated, the heady passion of the moment and the weight of the words seem to bring him back down to Earth. Steady resolve guide the words to his mouth.

Sight. A man and a woman can be seen entering a building, arms wrapped tightly around the other to show the world that true love did survive all the distance of the world.
