Minestrone Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Minestrone

minestrone
of waters
beauty
colors
your time is come
the snake of drear
now
on all sounds
surrounds me.

the waters sing
and
they be blessed waters
of
the cemeteries
and it be night

I saw
a friar go round
and round
a tomb
and it was night
