My Cute Princess Poem by Bireswar Halder

My Cute Princess

Rating: 5.0

I stare at the palms, forearms and all fingers deeply
What a fabulous design made the hands beautiful
Deep colours of mehendi - an adornment - bring tears
Rolling down the cheeks like a stream of showers.

On a sudden flashback, I see her innocent smiling face
Clapping away as if overtaken by  joy, balance  and confidence
When she starts toddling first announcing a sweet voice
Holding her hands tightly with a divine love on face.

I stare at her mehendi designed feet which moves my heart
My head stoops again at her feet which I kissed and tickled
She is an angel to my eyes on this beautiful earth
I find a lovely and unending bond with my cute princess.

Once I taught her stepping inside home with great pomp
Today I will catch hold her hands again to lead her out
For a new home awaits permanently to live in own way
But her childhood memories will be in my heart forever.

My heart breaks into pieces but to bid farewell smilingly
We will never rub each other's tears in grief and pains
But her calling 'p-a-p-a' in sweet voice will relieve my wounds
Dear princess, let me kiss your hands once before final departure.
