My Dear Friend - Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

I have a friend I've held most dear
She doesn't know
When I miss her I shed a tear
We say hello from year to year
I've wished it not to fade but grow
But in times when I need her most
It's a cold shoulder she does show
Dear friendship lost
She's let it go
