My Heart Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

My Heart

I do not open
My heart to full
But near, near, near….

Withering suns that
Fade into red dusks
Find place with me
That from the verses
Glories of the waking Dawn
Slow
As the snake irresistible
Pass to the decline and
The fading day:
So with me too:
The dusk that follows
Then
The night
The dark
The cession into the dark
Of night
The taking over by the
Sub-conscious crowd of
Thoughts and images…
We call them dreams -
I, other civilization
The new civilization
Call Them.
