No Matter What Poem by Amanda R. McKinnon

No Matter What

The stupidity sometimes gets under my skin, But no matter what they'll never win.
The anger sometimes tries to get to me, But no matter what I won't let them see.
Sometimes the load feels like too much to bear, But no matter what I'm going somewhere.
I'll never let them get inside my head, If I let them in I'm better off dead.
When the negativity tries to overtake my soul, I just focus my heart on the goal.
I will succeed no matter what they say, I won't let anyone stand in my way.
I'll hold my head up and keep my heart right, I'll remember my dreams and never lose sight.
I'll stay strong and remain steady, And no matter what I will always be ready.
To myself I will always stay true, I'll keep being me no matter what they do.
Those that matter love and support me, They're the ones that truly see.
I've worked too hard to be brought down, I've fought too hard to be broken now.
No matter what I won't let them in, No matter what they will never win.
