Onset Of Winter. Poem by udit kumar sahoo

Onset Of Winter.

Rating: 2.2

the sun has hurried home faster,
matinee shows have yet to end,
the play fields have emptied the children
into respective homes,
there is a nip in the air,
the birds have stopped circling
over the trees,
the dews in the benches in the park
are bidding byes to the last
of the young lovers,
children clinging to the mothers
inside the closed windows of the cars,

even the ground nuts shiver
in side the kernel.

verily winter has arrived in the land scape

Good Udit, as evenings set in faster neon lights switch on even when it is not totally dark, there is this breeze which flows with a nip in it, making you yearn for hands in hands stroll, or tea with streams of steam on a roadside joint. Chhavi Anupam
