Our Love Can Surpass Starlight Poem by Mark Heathcote

Our Love Can Surpass Starlight

Rating: 5.0

Sow a silken thread through my soul
glue and heel it like a well-worn shoe.
Wear down this sole till it leaks
then holding my heart squelching close
walk barefoot into the desert.

Eternities long dine and drink.
Tell me you are full to brimming
that love, our love, can surpass starlight
that the night has no grasp
that our heart's love can continually last.

Barefoot walk beside me into the dust
not because you can or must
but to fulfil an eternal, endless lust.
Suture a tear in me, still bleeding
confess your-endless-love.

Your heart is a libation it's-an-ocean
I will never thirst or go hungry,
never will I again walk home alone?
Or go home drunkenly,
still hungry or thirsty.

Heart is a liberation and heart is an ocean. This beats with love and cares for living. A person who is hungry and thirsty he should eat and drink nectar of wisdom. A brilliant poem is excellently penned.10

Intensity of love expressed in this beautifully conceived song flows with equal speed through it's lines. Thanks for sharing it,
