Power Of The Mind

Is your mind a despotic tyrant?
Who brutally pushes you around
Does it order you to smoke cigarettes
Hound you, forever hound

Does it tell you incessantly that you need them
When it's patently obvious you do not
Does it briefly reward you when you listen?
Only rarely, just to keep you on the spot

Has your mind become a traitor?
Living dangerously inside you
Has it become a loose cannon?
Which to you is no longer true

If my mind is a traitor, then I'm glad it is. I want nothing less than a death caused by at least 1 smoking related illness, within the next 40 years at the most. I will proudly die for big tobaccos benefit, helping them sell more of their luscious products to the masses. (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Alfred Lord Tennyson

It little profits that an idle king,
By this still hearth, among these barren crags,
Match'd with an aged wife, I mete and dole
Unequal laws unto a savage race,
