Powerful Durga Poem by Bireswar Halder

Powerful Durga

A den full of brutes scattered all around us always
And roaming aroundnook and corner silently in disguise
Teachers, drivers, office bosses and what you have
It's really very difficult to recognize their actual identities.

Only to wait for golden moments to jump over their preying intent
And to start showing ugly jaws and lolling tongues
Exposing their long hidden brutal penchants openly
Tampered mind makes them more furious to satisfy lust.

The prey maybe small helpless girls, young or old women.
The perturbed brutes are very much drooling for female flesh
Maybe daughters, maybe mothers, even deaf and dumb
No escape from the clutches of these savage brutes.

No repentance of perpetuating this heinous crimes
No hearts, no sympathy as of blood sucking vampires
The brutes openly loiter because of hidden powerful hands
And nobody dares to touch them at all in the locality.

Dear victims, stand-up,have some courage and strength,
As you are to fight with your full vigour and energies
And uproot their fangs forever before any more bites
You are Durga, you are to finish the brutes alike demons.
