Riding down the freeway, landscapes racing by,
cars passing and leaving our sight.
On the same stretch of highway, we are traveling
down, bank robbers, murderers, rapists, pedophiles
and abusers all remain anonymous as they race by
at any given time.
There are no detection systems to identify them,
no glaring marks, we travel unknowingly together
down the roads of life.
If we think of it we push the thoughts quickly
from our minds, preferring not to contemplate
them and ruining our piece of mind.
