Show And Tell Poem by Danette Frenz

Show And Tell

Princess and ponies, ballerinas and bears,
Twirling tutus and batons-bring out more stares.
Giggling girls grinning widely, standing right beside me.
I clap loudly, “More and more! ”, for another encore.
Little ones lit with glee,
Can’t wait for more. What’s in store?

Toddlin’ toddlers, toy trucks, even yellow rubber ducks.
Lickin’ lollipops, jawbreakers, “Yum! ”, they suck.
Jumping jumprope, turning tops, “Wow! ”, a froggie that jumps.
Bright boys bouncing balls, no time to stall-thumping bumps!
Flying freely on airplanes with arms around,
Laughing loudly, lolling about, with a shout-what a sound!
