Songbird Poem by Jean-luc Le Maistre

Songbird

Rating: 5.0

One day she's going to be a star,
with the way she sings and strums on her guitar,
On a cold winters day sitting in her room,
this is the way her songs begin to bloom.

Over skype she sings her songs for me,
as I'm sitting in my seat sipping on my tea,
listening to her singing voice is more than a treat,
every darn song of hers sweeps me off my feet!

Her angelic voice resonates through my ears,
how those heartfelt songs send me into tears,
but the sound of her fills me with content,
just like your Christmas card covered in your scent.

Sending each other pictures of the colour lit sky,
how fast these months have passed us by,
Gazing at pictures of you and I feel I'm obsessed,
my love filled heart always beats against my chest.

Falling asleep on the phone I always hear you snore,
there is no one else in the world I'll ever love more,
I can't thank you enough Baylie for coming into my life,
please will you be my lawful wedded wife?

Very nice Mr. Jean Luc. Please review the poem and check your spellings. Nevertheless, you have the skills. Practice, practice... You can finish the sentence. Good luck! Welcome to Poemhunter.com!

Hey thanks for the comment, not oo sure on where I've mispelt and not sure what you mean by finishing the sentence. I'm not one to fuss too much over it being perfect because nonetheless it expresses what comes the heart! And I've been here a while I just don't write often :)
