Speedy Yet Silent Event Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Speedy Yet Silent Event

Playing the fiddle rapidly into a nighttime atmosphere,
filling this mind with an effervescent pleasure, slowing
down for moments in time.

Then speeding up into recesses of rhythms as they travel
back and forth with the speed of a locomotive speeding
down the tracks.

Leading nowhere except into facets of living through the
fascination of whatever happens to fall down through the
years of our lives.

Happening along the way, a speedy yet silent event that
takes this poet suddenly and positively into positions
of another time.

Reaching a strengthening tempo that never slows down or
fades into the distance, a chorus of pleasure waiting its
turn as life falls along arid desert trails.

Going amidst yet another moment that will never be dying
as long as this poet is alive, ready and willing, able to
be in tune with every rhythm and melody.

Entertaining each of us, watching as notes, tempos and
signs of the time continue to energize this poet's total
being, heart, mind and intellect.

Lots of other things not readily available to be seen by
the naked eye, scoring faster as the mind takes steps
closer to endings of every rhythm and aura being tested
and expanded into the darkness.
