myrtle tree sits nicely
leaves so green, robust
provides shelter to weary
been there for decades
i sometimes put chair
and watch birds feed;
people walk their pets
kids play soccer or run
today i cut some branches
that are obstracting view
clean up surrounding too
looks far better; wider
wind blow freely; colder
drive away some of mosquitoes
nesting birds still up there
instantly geese took over
