Stretching Our Minds Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Stretching Our Minds

Evening started off in a song of drummer's beats, lazily enter-
taining the crowd here tonight, resisting stress of the day,
turning turmoil quickly into nothing.

Preferring to relax in musical rhythms all night long, rehears-
ing in depths of beautiful sounds of color while the band con-
tinues to play.

A tuneful rhythm that abates any stress left over once rhythms
begin to play, stretching our minds across measures of music,
letting intellect relax.
