Studied Discrimination Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Studied Discrimination

Stepping carefully into an atmosphere of studied discrimination
at its best, that's where people have strong opinions and are
extremely reluctant to let go of them.

Preferring instead to be racists, and prejudiced all throughout
life, not seeming to realize that they can keep their opinions
and still make friends who have different ideas than themselves.

If they'd stick their head out of the shell they've built for
themselves life would open up and be much more pleasant in the
long run.
