Suicidal Lies
I Said hi when I meant goodbye
It's not a lie, not do I lie, just a rare truth
Is not even that I like it when you cry
Just an uncontrolled smile
You hurt, I create
You suspect, I evade
You react, I sustain
You walk, I reclaim
Left you hanging,
A noose round the neck
A river flow, blood red
Joys torment,
A gentle push
Cliff dive

oh kelvin..sure i will probably have the interpretation of this poem all wrong..but here goes and only you know the truth..this write is of you telling your friend the truth, because you don't lie as you said in the first stanza but she can't handle it, because of insecurity..so she decides to walk away as you said in the second stanza and you reclaim your life and happiness..seems like the last stanza is she now wishes to come back to you but you have left her hanging..until you decide you wish to be in a relationship with her..fabulous write.. :)
Owusu, ur poem is just true, I like it. If u don't mine take a trip true my poems (the fluke, break up, faith ect)
Mindblowing...Superb poem.
the title already captivated me wow what a poem
just a door, suicide, life on one side and we know not what on the otherBut the choice is something, maybe the
only thing, we have control over. When we loose that choice there is nothing left to live for.....and we walk through
that door......and shut it
Powerful and full of great depth
A guilty love of holding power over someone who has lost self worth. The attraction to someone that for some reason you feel ashamed of, (like a natzi over a Jew but not quite thet extreme) That is what I get from this interesting read.
This is one piece which I need to reread to get the gist of the whole thing. I am going out and I will reread this when I come back. Take care. You are really productive with three entries at one time. Great creations.
Sad poem but I like it.
