Swing Poem by Brianna McCrudden

Swing

Only light can save you from the darkness.
Only having been weak can you gain strength.
Even then it is hard to understand your fate.
Its hard to choose which battle to overcome.
No one can control what happens to be and what chooses to come.
For all these aspects make a rung,
Out of rope for us to swing
And land with desired feet.
Into life surely we portray,
Which side will save the day.
It is true that love conquers all,
But what happens when us humans fall?
Down the blistered path of the damned,
When do we see command?
For if it's God or the Devil,
Either of these will make us tremble.
To be in sight of something so lost,
It will be hard to rise from the fall.
Although impossible it is not,
For love is the only cause.
