Taking Breaks Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Taking Breaks

Watching people roam about doing errands, eating lunch,
talking, meeting with doctors, nurses taking a break
from their endless duties.

Most people would not think about the people around
them, yet this poet sees everything, minute details
and what emotions are being felt by others.

Being an empath since very young, sensing sadness,
sorrow, grief, loss desperation, pain and suffering,
not able to shake any of it off, its mine to own and
take degrees off of others.
