Thaamnaa Thaa - I Wanted To Reach Out Poem by Hardik Vaidya

Thaamnaa Thaa - I Wanted To Reach Out

Thaamnaa thaa mujhe,
Lekin tham saa gayaa,
kuchh ke liye lahoo,
Kuch logon ke liye khoon,
Katron kee kataar see, lambee,
Maano tumhaaree numaaish,
Ration kee dukaan me taraazoo par,
Bhondu gullu kee badee see tond se satee,
Sarkaar kee hifaazat me tumhaaree maree huwee izzat
Maree bepanaah mohobaat kee daad,
Tumhare husna kee barsaat,
Aur beehadon me insaan kee chinghaad.
Aaj phir se meree mulakaat,
Mujh se ho gayee.

Translation:
I needed to reach out,
But I froze,
To some blood, blood to some,
Drops in long que,
As if your sale was on,
Measured, on the weigh scale, at the ration shop,
Resting unto the belly of Bhondu Gullu the shop keeper,
In the safe hands of the government your pride and esteem
Endless love of mine to you, screaming once more,
The wild shower of your youthful bounty,
Cries of human beings deep in wild forests,
I again bumped into me,
Today.
