The Family Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Family

The family is going
The family down the way
Of
The extinct
The dinosaurs and those
Who at the most
Today
At present with a bone or more
Or brain:
Yet
At least the saurian
Lasted
Their time
Lasted
Their days
To me such barren land
Glimmers
Obstinate and perverse
With
Resigned extinction
