The Farther We Go Poem by Patti Masterman

The Farther We Go

Rating: 5.0

And as it was, it then shall be,
It's me for you, or you for me,
Us and them; let all avail
That future hopes may tide us well.

Though nothing change, a thousand years,
We have what we had then, as well;
A thousand more shall not suffice
To make this drudge of life more wise.

And as it is, it tends to be,
Continually, no change is seen;
We'll go stark raving mad, in time-
And leave our future far behind.
