The Fields Of Home Poem by Robert R. Railey

The Fields Of Home

The Fields of Home

Back home we believed that Blue Racer
Snakes were made mostly for chasing
And it mattered not who won
Yet at the time I doubt if any of us
Ever thought that those memories would
Last a lifetime; for just like most of the
Days that we spent growing up,
Time stood still between adventures
