He saw past the blemishes in me
that others scorned me for,
My outer skin he would not see,
He only saw what was in my heart's core.
He paid no heed to what others said,
My words were all he ever heard.
It mattered not that others stared.
To him, we were the only two people in the world.
that's how it should be but is hardly....ever! nice poem, Elena.
To him, we were the only two people in the world....very intresting... :)
First and foremost,10/10. It's a poem of a very high standard, as it conveys your mind precisely, in just eight lines. It's a pleasure to read this kind of a poem, where your heart sings the glory of a person who appreciates you for whatever you are worth.

I would like to translate this poem
The loved that these two persons shared was so deep that it made them feel that they were the only two in the world. Reminds me of Adam and Eve the first humans created by God. A perfect union until they disobeyed. An inspiring write.
