The Taste Of Death Poem by Ravi Panamanna

The Taste Of Death

Rating: 4.9

The taste of salt is the pinch of life,
The sweetness of sugar, the wine of life
But the taste of Cyanide is death,
What if it were sweeter than sugar?

What if Cyanide tasted soar?
Death sentence is sure.
What if it tasted bitter?
The verdict is clear.

But the world hath a strange mind,
It is after the taste of death.
It doesn’t search the fountains of life
It doesn’t enrich her creative hours.

When the nature of Cobra is known,
Who may wish forfeiting his life?
If the taste of life is bitter
Can the sweetness of poison make it better?

There was a paper report several months ago wherein it was reported that a person from my local area who consumed Cyanide had tried to leave behind the taste of it in bit of paper before he closed his eyes forever. He could not complete the word. This aspect is the seed of this poem.

Poison is one form of death. Though be sure, we all die in our GOD appointed time in life.

'But the world hath a strange mind, It is after the taste of death. It doesn’t search the fountains of life It doesn’t enrich her creative hours.' Yes the world has had a strange mind always. It is after the taste of death where love has to sacrifice coz' it has no weapons other than a bleeding heart. And blood cannot kill anyone. It only adds life every dropp of it unless it is affected with any lethal disease. But for someone life becomes very stagnant..for someone who has less social mobility like statesmen. They have to become scapegoats then.Nothing more.Sometimes of love, sometimes of fate.Without the knowledge whether they tasted death or death tasted them.A very poignant write.A 10 from me.

Sweet, bitter, soar or salty All are tastes As long as the tongue favours to taste the life Varieties of relish fills the void. But death... Taste of Death...: -( This title made me probe for a while... Life's one of the tatstes may bring death And it looks as it death is tasteless. Thoughts thoroughly provoked. Good one. Enjoyed the read. Thank you.
